Welcome to Bring the Thunder. My name is Cassi Blomberg and I have a passion for exploring the messy side of life through fantasy and science fiction narrative writing.
What does the messy side of life mean? It means real characters, with warts and all, navigating tough choices, making mistakes, and coming out on the other side stronger than they were.

Whether they captain a fledgling space station,
struggle to survive in the wilds of a fantasy planet,
or adventure through a world driven by bio-tech,
characters who reflect the struggles we face daily
offer a mirror to our own experiences
and the messy complexity of our lives.
They tell us it’s okay to explore the dark side
of our outer and inner surroundings.
By connecting with these characters,
we discover pieces of ourselves
and show us how to confront
our flaws inside those pieces.
